Paradise Hills

Starts slow, but stay with it.
I stumbled upon this movie through a banner ad. I was intrigued by the "buy the DVD or watch free online" message in the ad. I went to the site and watched the movie.

The movie can be viewed in 10 chapters that you click on one by one. The video quality is good, sound: good, the acting, bad. The amateurish acting makes it a little challenging to get through the first two chapters, but, by chapter 3 it starts to pick up. The acting gets better and the story starts to reveal itself. By chapter 5 or 6 I was into it.

It offers some pretty surprising twists and turns. In fact, the writing was pretty good. Not to keep harping on the acting, but given the good looks of some of the actors in this flick I can see why some more popular (not as good looking) actors get parts in the bigger movies. Acting makes a world of difference.

Paradise Hills is classic indie low budget fare. It starts slow, but if you give it some time to build a head of steam, you'll be...

Excellent Movie!
Great original screenplay. Exciting plot and good acting. I was glued to this one. Mike Cohen is a genius! A must see!
